Google will be present at the Paris Olympics, which begin on July 26. Beyond being a traditional sponsor, Google has decided to go a step further to become the official AI sponsor of Team USA, the entire U.S. Olympic delegation. This means that Gemini and other Google AI technologies will be prominently featured at these Games.

Google will implement many of its AI-powered functions during the event, such as 3D broadcasts. The coverage will include 3D views from Google Maps of iconic locations like Versailles, Stade Roland Garros, and the Aquatic Center. These images come from the Immersive Views added to Maps in recent years, representing landmarks and points of interest with photorealistic models.

As part of the agreement to promote Gemini and other Google AI tools, presenters and commentators, especially those from NBC, which is responsible for broadcasting the entire event, will use Google Search AI's General Views during broadcasts to answer questions about the Olympics and Paralympics.

Comedian Leslie Jones will ask Gemini to help her learn a new sport, among other scripted activities. Additionally, five Olympic and Paralympic athletes will appear in videos and promotions using Gemini, Google Lens, Circle to Search, and Google Maps Immersive View to explore Paris.

Google is set to offer an enriched and technologically advanced Olympic experience in Paris, where once again, technology will play a key role in showcasing the most important achievements of athletes across various disciplines.
