The Ministry of Education of India has launched a course to help all its citizens quickly and freely get started with artificial intelligence. Under the Digital India platform, the "AI for All" program consists of 13 simple and intuitive courses to showcase the advantages of this technology to the vast population of the Asian country.

AI for All, under the motto "power to empower," divides its more than a dozen modules into two separate parts. The first is AI Aware, focused on conveying basic knowledge about what AI is before the user begins to work with it. Additionally, this section aims to answer common questions about artificial intelligence while debunking widespread beliefs about it. On the other hand, the second part, AI Appreciate, is much more focused on technical knowledge, teaching key concepts to give instructions and commands to an AI or providing access to a "self-learning plan" where the user begins to experiment with these programs.

Accessibility for Millions

An interesting aspect of this Indian initiative is that, although it is designed for the country's population, anyone can access it by providing basic information along with a phone number to verify the user, which allowed the Neosmart team to navigate through the course. As soon as we started the program, we were pleasantly surprised by the number of accessibility options it offers, whether through the variety of languages or its text options for braille and people with dyslexia. Additionally, the program has a consultation and feedback phone line open weekdays from nine in the morning to eight in the evening.

It's true that the content or test questions can seem a bit "simplistic," but given its goal of reaching a massive population, this is understandable. Education in the use of these technologies is key to preparing citizens for the future. AI is no longer a science fiction genre but a technical advancement increasingly applied in more and more fields.
