Google has made a bold move in technological innovation with the launch of its new Pixel 9 device lineup during the ‘Made by Google’ event. The new family includes the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and, for the first time, a foldable model, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. These devices are equipped with the powerful Tensor G4 chip, developed in collaboration with Google DeepMind, which promises to change the game in mobile technology by integrating advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.
Innovation in Photography and Smart Assistants
The Tensor G4 chip not only enhances the overall performance of the device but also enables AI functions that take the user experience to a whole new level. One of the most notable advancements is the Pixel 9’s ability to revolutionize mobile photography. Google has introduced the "Introduce me" feature, which uses AI to ensure that everyone, including the photographer, appears in group photos. The 50 MP main camera and 48 MP ultra-wide camera, equipped with AI, optimize each shot, ensuring vibrant colors and precise details even in low-light conditions.
Additionally, the Google Photos Magic Editor has been upgraded with new AI tools. The "Auto Frame" feature automatically suggests cropping and composition improvements, while "Reimagine" allows users to completely transform an image by moving objects or changing the background with just a few taps. For video, the Video Optimizer processes recordings with Night Vision at double the speed and offers high-resolution zoom of up to 20x in the Pro models.
The AI assistant, Gemini Live, has also been significantly enhanced. Available to Gemini Advanced subscribers, this feature allows for natural conversations with the assistant, making tasks like event planning or information searching more intuitive. Moreover, Pixel 9 Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold users will receive one year of Gemini Advanced for free, allowing them to fully utilize this new functionality from day one.
Privacy, Security, and More Options
Google has also placed a strong emphasis on privacy and security in this new generation. The multimodal AI model Gemini Nano ensures that personal data is processed locally on the device, enhancing security and ensuring that the most sensitive features are available even without an internet connection.
For the first time, Google offers the Pixel 9 Pro in two sizes: Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, both with Super Actua displays that provide exceptional brightness and clarity. The Pixel 9 series will be available in Spain starting September 15, with prices ranging from €899 for the base Pixel 9 model to €1,699 for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the most advanced model in the lineup.
